(Grand Forks, ND) — The Grand Forks Police Department has welcomed a new K9 officer to the department. His name is Hart and he’s an 18-month-old German Shepherd. Hart’s partner is Corporal John Klingbeil, who recently graduated from a K9 basic handler course. The course refines skills such as tracking, building searches, locating discarded evidence, and other important tasks for police K9s. Hart joins the department’s other fellow K9s, Shelby, Riot, and Kade.
