Alum to create sculpture for Black Hills State University

(Black Hills, SD) — A Black Hills State University alumus is creating a large sculpture for the school. Dale Lamphere is best known for his Dignity of Earth and Sky sculpture in Chamberlain. The 20-foot high and 14-foot wide work of art will resemble a yellow jacket hive. He intends to complete the sculpture by Fall 2021. Over 70 of Lamphere’s pieces are on public display across the country.
