Fargo police make arrest in early-morning incident

Fargo police made an arrest in connection with the death of a woman early this morning.,

Police say a vehicle on the city’s south side sped off from a police officer before the officer activated his emergency lights.

The officer continued in the same direction — not in pursuit — and as he was entering an apartment complex parking lot he discovered a badly-injured woman, believed to have exited the fleeing car while it was still in motion.

the officer and others rendered aid but the woman died at the scene. Other officers caught up with 24-year old Dylan M.E. Lepard of Fargo, who was arrested for

• Leaving the scene of an accident involving death (B Felony)

• Reckless endangerment (C Felony)

• Local warrant for Fail to Appear

The name of the female victim will be released on Monday, according to Fargo police.
