COVID-19 Hospitalizations, Active Cases Drop in SD

(Pierre, SD) — Over 900 new cases of COVID-19 are being reported in South Dakota as vaccination for the virus gets underway. Current hospitalizations have dropped to 412, and active cases have dropped to just under eleven-thousand. Health officials also reported 39 additional deaths yesterday. Over 92-thousand South Dakotans have tested positive for the virus and more than eleven-hundred have died from COVID-19-related causes since the pandemic began.
