Rapid City, Spearfish Get Low LGBTQ Community Inclusion Scores

(Rapid City, SD) — A Human Rights Campaign Survey shows that Rapid City and Spearfish received low scores for LGBTQ community inclusion. The two cities earned a 19 out of 100 on the survey for LGBTQ inclusivity. The Vice President of Black Hills Center for Equality expressed dismay about the low score. The score was calculated using data on non-discrimination laws, workplace inclusivity, city services, law enforcement interaction, and LGBTQ leadership.
