Two Bodies Found In Fargo Twinhome Fire

Fargo, ND (Dec. 22, 2020) – The bodies of two people were found in a southside Fargo twinhome (at 2101 52nd St S.) that was found fully engulfed in fire shortly before 7:30 this morning.

First, West Fargo fire units were called — then it was discovered the correct address was in Fargo, and Fargo firefighters were sent.

Both departments worked to extinguish the fire. The fire was under control within 30 minutes. The fire involved both units of the twinhome and portions of the exterior deck.

Three people safely evacuated one of the units. During the course of extinguishing the fire, firefighters discovered two deceased persons. Fargo Fire Department has a fire investigator on scene and will be conducting a joint investigation with the Fargo Police Department.

The Fargo Fire Department responded with four engines, one ladder truck, and two command vehicles, along with units from the West Fargo Fire Department. The Fargo Police Department and FM Ambulance, and the Salvation Army were also on scene to assist. A damage estimate is not available at this time.
