IHS At Sisseton Get COVID-19 Vaccine

(Sisseton, SD) — Indian Health Service health care staff for the Sisseton-Wahpeton Oyate tribe are getting vaccinated for COVID-19. The Woodrow Wilson Keeble Memorial Health Care Center in Sisseton got its first 300 doses of Moderna’s COVID-19 vaccine on December 21st. Vaccinations for IHS health care staff got underway two days later. Tribal chairman Delbert Hopkins Jr. says Phase One of the vaccination plan includes IHS staff, first responders, and some people in long-term care facilities.
