State DLR Waits For Guidance On CARES Act Benefits

(Rapid City, SD) — Changes are happening for requirements to qualify for unemployment. The South Dakota Department of Labor and Regulation says the state is waiting for guidance from the U.S. Department of Labor to begin distributing up to 300-dollars in weekly CARES Act benefits to eligible recipients. The DLR is discussing how requirements to qualify have changed with new legislation signed by President Trump extending the CARES Act benefits.
