Contact Tracing Resumes With Cluster Focus

(Bismarck, ND) — Contact tracing is resuming in North Dakota, with a focus on identifying clusters of COVID-19 infections. Workers were overwhelmed by caseloads in October, and efforts were slowed. Newly-resumed efforts will include about 470 contact tracers from the Department of Health, University of North Dakota, North Dakota State University and local public health departments, including those in Fargo and Grand Forks. The tracers previously encountered widespread noncompliance, but the new data is too fresh to compare to previous numbers.
