Thune, Rounds Vote Against Objections To Electors

(Washington, D.C) — South Dakota’s two U.S. Senators are finished voting to objections to confirm the Electoral College victory of President-Elect Joe Biden. Senators John Thune and Mike Rounds were at the Capitol on Wednesday to certify the Electoral College when a group of rioters stormed the Capitol building causing a lengthy delay in the voting process. After the rioters were removed, the process resumed, and shortly after 9 p.m. Central Time, Mr. Thune and Mr. Rounds voted against an objection to electors in Arizona, and then around 11:30 p.m. Central Time, both voted against an objection to electors in Pennsylvania.
