Lieutenant Governor Sanford Family In Quarantine

(Bismarck, ND) — COVID-19 is impacting the onset of North Dakota’s 2021 legislative session. Officials say Lieutenant Governor Brent Sanford and his family are in quarantine after his wife, Sandi, tested positive for the virus on Thursday. A spokesman for the lieutenant governor says Mrs. Sanford is asymptomatic. Minot Republican Senator Randy Burckhard is reportedly presiding over the Senate as “president protempore” in Sanford’s absence.
