Noem Calls New Georgia Senators “Communists”

(Pierre, SD) — South Dakota’s governor says Georgia elected two “communists” as U.S. Senators. Republican Kristi Noem wrote last week in an op-ed on the news site The Federalist that one of the Senator-elects is a “33-year-old with no accomplishments” and the other a “smooth-talking preacher.” Noem had campaigned for Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock’s opponents. South Dakota Democrats responded to her comments Friday, accusing Noem of spreading fear and fascism.
