Three Die In Weekend Grand Forks Crash

(Grand Forks, ND) — Three people are dead after a rollover crash in Grand Forks. Authorities say 21-year-old Janessa Kelley was traveling at high speed Saturday on Demers Avenue when she struck a car and then an SUV while trying to turn onto Fifth Street. She then hit a Caravan and rolled her vehicle. Officials say 52-year-old Laura Van Erem was driving the Caravan, and she and her 72-year-old passenger Nancy Sand died at the scene. Kelley was taken to the hospital and later died from her injuries. Preliminary investigation indicates that alcohol may have been a factor in the crash. An investigation is continuing.
