Man Charged With Theft, DUI Following Vehicle Crash In Fargo

The driver of a stolen vehicle is in serious condition after crashing the vehicle on a bridge over the Red River at Fargo.
Fargo police say the vehicle was stolen early this morning from a north Fargo address and was later spotted traveling through Moorhead Minnesota, where it fled from officers. Moorhead police say the vehicle continued at high speed onto the Center Avenue Bridge and crashed into the old Mid-America Steel building where the roadway curves.
48-year old Dexter R. Jefferson was ejected from the vehicle and taken to the hospital with serious injuries. Police say a report with charges for DUI and theft of a motor vehicle will be referred to the Cass County State’s Attorney’s office.
