Evictions Persist In ND Despite COVID

(Bismarck, ND) — COVID-19 doesn’t appear to be keeping local landlords at bay. According to a spokesperson for Legal Services of North Dakota, landlords filed more the 24 hundred eviction notices in 2020. That’s reportedly the third-highest total since 2010. Although a federal moratorium on evictions remains in effect through the end of March, state welfare officials say may renters say it’s difficult to find and complete the appropriate form to keep a roof over their heads.
