(Undated) — The polar vortex is creating dangerously cold conditions from Montana to the western Great Lakes. Wind chill warnings and advisories are posted in the Dakotas and Minnesota through Monday. The National Weather Service says wind chills could hit 50 degrees below zero in some areas. Forecasters expect daytime highs to struggle to reach the single digits across the Northern Plains and Upper Midwest as a dome of frigid air grips the region this weekend.
