Committee Nixes Vaccinations Bill

(Pierre, SD) — A state House committee has rejected a proposal that would have let patients turn down vaccinations or other medical procedures. Its sponsor — State Representative Phil Jensen — says he’s concerned that vaccinations will soon be required for work or travel and he wants people to have the choice whether to be vaccinated or not. But a state health official testified that South Dakota already has a law that prevents a resident to be forced to have a vaccination or a medical procedure.
