(Fargo, ND) — Authorities say several demonstrators who were part of a protest at a Huntersville Township pipeline construction site have been arrested. About 30 people were gathered at the pipeline right-of-way in section four and were reported by construction workers for trespassing and climbing equipment and pipes. Most demonstrators dispersed when order to by law enforcement, but 20-year-old Trinity Shaw-Stewart, 22-year-old Bonnie Hoekstra, and 26-year-old Jack Keenan remained inside a section of pipe for approximately six hours before being taken into custody on probable cause for gross misdemeanor trespassing.
