(Pierre, SD) — South Dakota Attorney General Jason Ravnsborg is responding to the announcement that he will face three traffic misdemeanors in connection with a deadly crash. The Hyde County State’s Attorney’s Office announced the charges yesterday, which do not hold Ravnsborg criminally responsible for hitting and killing 55-year-old Joe Boever along Highway 14 in September. Ravnsborg says he continues to pray for 55-year-old Joe Boever and his family. The Attorney General said in a statement that the situation has been “difficult and trying for everyone involved.” He also thanked those who have supported him during the investigation into the crash.
