Pierre, SD) — Governor Kristi Noem says she hasn’t asked the South Dakota House to begin impeachment proceedings against state Attorney General Jason Ravnsborg. Ravnsborg is in hot water after he was charged Thursday with three traffic misdemeanors related to a crash where he hit and killed a Highmore Man in September. State Public Safety Secretary Craig Price says Ravnsborg was distracted at the time of the crash. Ravnsborg would have to take a leave of absence from office if impeachment charges were pending against him. Noem is constitutionally given the power to choose Ravnsborg’s replacement if he leaves office.
