Activist Groups Propose Medical Marijuana Compromise

(Pierre, SD) — Two South Dakota activist groups are proposing a compromise in connection with the implementation of a new medical marijuana law. New Approach South Dakota and South Dakotans for Better Marijuana Law spoke in front of the state legislature yesterday urging an extension of the deadline for the Department of Health to write rules and regulations for the medical marijuana program. The groups are also asking for legal protections for medical marijuana patients to be in place before ID cards are issued.
