Noem Wants Rushmore Fireworks To Continue

(Pierre, SD) — Governor Kristi Noem is urging South Dakota’s Congressional delegation to fight for the continuation of Independence Day fireworks at Mount Rushmore. Noem sent letters to each Senator and South Dakota’s sole Representative asking them to encourage the Secretary of the Interior to not call off future events. Noem says last year’s fireworks brought two-million dollars into South Dakota and resulted in 160-thousand dollars in state and local tax revenue.
