Lawmakers Want Mask Mandate Reconsidered

(Bismarck, ND) — GOP leaders want to reconsider the mask requirement for lawmakers at the state Capitol. A mask mandate currently applies to lawmakers, lobbyists, and visitors to the Capitol. House Majority Leader Chet Pollert wants the House to vote on removing the internal mandate on lawmakers by March 12th, ten days after lawmakers return from their midsession break. Pollert said negotiations between the House and Senate would firm up that date of the votes.
