COVID-19 Vaccinations Outstrip Number Of Cases In SD

(Pierre, SD) — Health officials say the number of South Dakotans vaccinated for COVID-19 has outpaced the total number of cases since the pandemic began. Officials say vaccination is still very important, and that they are optimistic that enough people could receive their doses by summer to see a difference in case numbers. The state is continuing to administer the vaccine to those in Phase One-D, which includes people 65 and older.
