New SD Youth Hunting And Fishing Regulations To Be Enacted

(Pierre, SD) — South Dakota is enacting new youth hunting and fishing regulations. Governor Kristi Noem recently signed a bill meant to simplify state regulation of youth hunting and fishing. Anyone under age 18 will now be able to fish for free. Mentored deer hunting opportunities for non-residents of South Dakota are also being expanded. The intent of the reforms is to increase accessibility for youth to more outdoor activities. The new rules will go into effect July 1st.
