(Orlando, FL) — South Dakota’s governor is defending her decisions on how to handle the coronavirus pandemic. On CBS’s Face The Nation, Republican Kristi Noem says she’s followed advice from medical experts but given her people flexibility to get through the pandemic economically. Noem says she’s been honest with state residents and allowed them to be personally responsible. The comments come as the CDC ranks South Dakota 8th highest in the U.S. in deaths per 100-thousand residents.
