Senate Re-Examining Transgender Bill

(Pierre, SD) — South Dakota’s Senate is re-examining a bill that would ban transgender females from girls and women’s sports. Senators used a “smoke out” to revive the bill. The House Bill needed one-third of the Senate to successfully smoke the bill out. The motion received 16 votes of support and met the threshold to smoke the bill out.
