(Pierre, SD) — The South Dakota Senate is compromising on the issue of medical marijuana. Senators passed legislation yesterday accepting a delay in implementing medical marijuana if small amounts of the substance are decriminalized for adults. The bill sets up a showdown with the House, which supports Governor Kristi Noem’s plan to stop the legalization of marijuana in any form. A medical marijuana ballot measure passed in November.
