PETA Urges Charges Against NDSU

(Fargo, ND) — Animal rights group PETA is calling for charges against North Dakota State University after a USDA report showed laws were violated at the school’s Meat Laboratory. PETA says it’s calling on Cass County State Attorney Birch Burdick to file cruelty to animal charges after learning about a long, painful death for a cow at the facility. The group alleges the cow was shot multiple-times and suffered before dying. PETA says shooting an animal in the head may violate North Dakota law.
