(Pierre, SD) — Attorney General Jason Ravnsborg is joining a lawsuit arguing against President Biden’s decision to cancel the permits for the Keystone XL pipeline. South Dakota is going in with over 20 other states to fight against the revocation of the construction permits for the pipeline. Ravnsborg says the main issue is whether or not the President had the authority to pull the permits and regulate the border by doing so. Representative Dusty Johns says the project has progressed too far to be stopped now. Senator John Thune says the pipeline would cut down on America’s reliance on foreign oil. The Attorneys General involved are arguing that the power to regulate or revoke the permit falls to Congress.
