New COVID-19 Variant Spreading In MN, Officials Warn

(St. Paul, MN) — The Minnesota Health Department is issuing a warning to travelers as a new variant of COVID-19 is spreading. Health officials are asking travelers to continue practicing social distancing and wearing masks to reduce the spread of the virus. Additionally, when residents do return from their trips, MHD officials ask that they quarantine upon arrival in the Gopher State. CDC asks all eligible travelers to get vaccinated before traveling, and get tested before and after traveling, and quarantine. The warning comes as Minnesota has now seen outbreaks of the COVID variant in four counties.
