White House Walks Back Plan To Send Migrants To ND

(Bismarck, ND) — Despite a report that the Biden administration plans to send unaccompanied minors from the Texas border to states near the Canadian border for processing, the White House now says there are no such plans at this time. Governor Doug Burgum’s office says a letter it received from the White House confirmed the plan is not being pursued right now. The Washington Post had reported on the plan, which drew quick criticism from North Dakota Senator Kevin Cramer and Representative Kelly Armstrong. Cramer says since he announced his opposition to the idea, he has also heard from the White House that the plan is not under consideration.
