Drought In ND Expected To Continue

(Bismarck, ND) — The National Weather Service says its latest forecast indicates the drought that has lasted for much of the last year is expected to continue through spring and into summer. Burn restrictions remain in effect for 36 of the state’s 53 counties. More counties may be added to the list. North Dakota State agriculture extension analysts say farmers should expect a delay in grass development this spring. Streams and rivers are motionless due to the lack of snowmelt and spring rainfall.
