One Tenant Rescued In Fargo Apartment Fire

Fargo Fire

Friday afternoon, Fargo firefighters were dispatched to a report of smoke and flames coming from the third floor of an apartment building on that city’s northside. Upon arrival, crews discovered a fire in unit 9. Fire crews also observed the occupant of the adjacent apartment in his window stating he was unable to evacuate due to smoke conditions in the hallway.

The first arriving crew was able to extinguish the fire quickly, preventing it from extending into the surrounding units. The next arriving fire crew assisted the trapped occupant down a ladder.

One tenant was displaced and is being assisted by the Red Cross with temporary shelter. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation. A damage estimate is not yet available.
