Spring Break Among Factors Spiking COVID Cases

(Bismarck, ND) — North Dakota’s leading disease control expert says there are several factors contributing to the state’s COVID-19 spike. The Health Department’s Disease Control Division director Kirby Kruger says pandemic fatigue, spring weather, and more public gatherings have led to the highest number of active cases of the virus in two months. Kruger particularly points to the state high school basketball tournaments. The Health Department announced over 200 new cases yesterday, with more than eleven-hundred active cases.
