Two Suspects Sought In Rapid Fatal Shooting

(Rapid City, SD) — Rapid City Police are searching for two suspects in a deadly shooting. The shooting happened late Friday afternoon in a room at the 200-block of East Boulevard North. Police say 20-year-old Jesus Vance was pronounced dead and 37-year-old Jake Williams was taken to the hospital for treatment of superficial wounds. Investigators found that at least six people were involved in the shooting in some way, including Vance. Williams was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and prohibited possession of a firearm. Police also arrested 55-year-old William Long and 38-year-old Gilbert Reyna and charged both with aggravated assault and second degree kidnapping. Authorities are still searching for 32-year-old Tracy Laughlin and 35-year-old Travis Nelson for aiding and abetting in the kidnapping and assault.
