(Bismarck, ND) — Governor Doug Burgum is ending the declared COVID-19 emergency in North Dakota. Burgum announced yesterday that he will end the declared emergency at the end of the month. Burgum credits the move in part to increasing vaccination rates in the state. With the end of the emergency, all related executive orders also dissolve. North Dakota has been in a state of emergency since March 2020. It will be the second state to end its emergency status.
