Noem Bans SD Governments Issuing COVID-Vaccine Passports

(Pierre, SD) — Governor Kristi Noem is acting to prohibit governments in South Dakota from issuing COVID-19 vaccine passports. Noem signed an executive order Wednesday banning the practice in the state. She has long argued against government mandates and says the state’s approach to the pandemic is backed by science. She says leaders trust residents to “exercise their personal responsibility” when making decisions about their response to the virus.
