Noem Joins Carbon Emissions Lawsuit

(Pierre, SD) — South Dakota is now a part of a lawsuit filed by nine other state attorneys general over an executive order related to carbon emissions. The order establishes a working group to calculate a “social cost of greenhouse gases.” Governor Noem is leading South Dakota’s involvement in the lawsuit. Noem says the proposed regulation would kill jobs and cripple the economy. The lawsuit seeks to shut down Biden’s efforts to apply this social cost to regulations and decision-making.
