Crews Gaining On ND Wildfires

(Undated) — Crews are getting control of two large wildfires in western North Dakota. The Roosevelt Creek Fire in the Little Missouri National Grassland is about 70-percent contained. The blaze has burned 46-hundred acres and the district ranger for the grassland’s Medora Ranger District says crews feel “good about where we’re at.” The fire on the Fort Berthold Indian Reservation has now burned 98-hundred acres, and is 75-percent contained. The fire management officer Marle Baker for the Three Affiliated Tribes says crews are hoping to have the fire 95-percent contained by this morning.
