Native American History Coming To ND School Curriculum

(Bismarck, ND) — North Dakota schools are beginning to integrate Native American history into their curriculum. A bill requiring the changes to school curriculums was signed into law several weeks ago. More than 50 tribal members and educators gathered yesterday at the Heritage Center to discuss the best ways to implement Native American culture into history classes. Tribal members say yesterday’s work session was the first step in developing the state’s Native American history curriculum.
