Sioux Falls, Minnehaha Delaying Applications For Medical Marijuana Establishments

(Sioux Falls, SD) — Minnehaha County and the city of Sioux Falls are delaying applications for medical marijuana establishments. The county commission and city council each passed ordinances yesterday that would put off the approval of applications until the government in South Dakota outlines needed regulations. Medical marijuana is set to become legal in the state on July 1st. The South Dakota Department of Health has until October 29th to create policies regulating the substance.
