Group Wants Bismarck Church On National Historic Register

(Bismarck, ND) — A Bismarck group wants to see a local church added to the National Register of Historic Places. Metcalf Archeological Consultants members submitted the nomination for St. George’s Episcopal Memorial Church to the State Historic Preservation Office. The church is located in the 600-block of North Fourth Street and was built in 1949. The proposal says the church represents the broader image of the community at that time and contains the bell from the steamboat Red Cloud.
