Grasshopper Population Rising In ND

(Fargo, ND) — The grasshopper population in North Dakota is increasing. This could be bad news for already struggling crops. A new North Dakota State University report shows 65-percent of fields are infested with the bugs, which could lead to a loss in crop production. The insects thrive in drought-like conditions and are already eating crops. Farmers can get help controlling the insects through the state.
