Kenta Maeda placed on 10-day Injured List

The Twins have placed right-handed pitcher Kenta
Maeda on the 10-day Injured list with right forearm tightness (retroactive to August 22). Maeda, who
departed Saturday’s game against the New York Yankees in the fifth inning with the injury, has gone 6-5
with a 4.66 ERA (106.1 IP, 55 ER) with 32 walks, 113 strikeouts and a .258 (106-for-411) opponent batting
average in 21 starts for the Twins this season. This marks his second trip to the Injured List this year, after
missing 20 games with a right adductor strain prior to the All-Star Break.
