Sioux Falls’ Weir Throws Fourth No-Hitter Of LLWS

(Williamsport, PA) — Sioux Falls Little League is into the semifinals after a fourth no-hitter from lefty Gavin Weir. The 12-year-old threw his second no-no in Williamsport and fourth overall dating back to the regional round as South Dakota beat California 1-0 at the Little League World Series. Weir has allowed just one hit and six walks while striking out 114 of 132 opposing batters. South Dakota will face the winner of Thursday’s game between California and Ohio in the Tom Seaver Final on Saturday. Hawaii gets the winner of Thursday’s Texas versus Michigan showdown in the Hank Aaron Final. The winners of each bracket will meet in Sunday’s championship game.
