(Sioux Falls, SD) — Over 400 airmen from the 114th Fighter Wind of the South Dakota Air National Guard are back in the United States. The airmen were welcomed home from deployments in the Middle East, Europe, and the state of Georgia on September 11th. Governor Kristi Noem, U.S. Senator John Thune, and Sioux Falls Mayor Paul TenHaken joined South Dakota Air National Guard leaders for the homecoming ceremony. A moment of silence was also held for the victims on 9/11 and for service members from the U.S. who died in the 20-year war in Afghanistan.
