ND IT Investigation Includes Election System

(Bismarck, ND) — An investigation into North Dakota’s information technology includes the state’s election system. State Auditor Josh Gallion’s office is negotiating the statewide IT security assessment contract. The probe will look at cybersecurity vulnerability in the state’s software, hardware, and physical infrastructure. Work on the probe is set to begin in January and wrap up by October 2022.
