(Landover, MD) — The Washington Football Team and New York Giants put on a Thursday Night Football classic. Dustin Hopkins kicked a winning 43-yard field goal as time expired to give Washington a 30-29 win over New York in Landover. Hopkins had initially missed the kick but an offsides penalty gave him a second chance. Taylor Heinicke threw for 336 yards, two touchdowns and a critical interception that set the Giants up to take a brief lead late. Terry McLaurin finished with 11 catches for 107 yards and a score for Washington, which moves to 1-and-1. Daniel Jones threw for 249 yards and rushed for 95 yards for the Giants. Jones threw a touchdown and ran for one on the ground. Darius Slayton caught a touchdown but also dropped a wide open one in the end zone in the fourth quarter. The Giants are 0-and-2.
