Five-Run First Leads Twins Past Royals In Season Finale

(Kansas City, MO) — Jorge Polanco’s three-run home run jump-started a five-run first inning in the Twins 7-3 win over the Royals in their season finale at Kauffman Stadium. Byron Buxton also hit his 19th home run in the fifth inning. Nick Vincent got his first win with two scoreless innings out of the bullpen. Jorge Alcala closed out the game to grab his first save. Minnesota finishes 2021 last-place in the AL Central with a 73-and-89 record.
